Monica R. da Fonseca is Executive Director and Head of Sales Luxembourg at Value & Risk. She joined the firm in September 2025 as Executive Director Business Development, bringing more than 26 years of experience in the financial sector, including 25 years based in Luxembourg.
Throughout her career, Monica has developed deep expertise in relationship management, fund structuring, distribution supervision and business
development.
Her professional background combines commercial leadership with strong knowledge of governance, regulatory expectations and the Luxembourg fund industry. Prior to joining Value & Risk, she served as a CSSF-approved Managing Director of an independent management company, where she was responsible for supporting growth, strengthening partnerships and overseeing key
governance matters.
In her current role, Monica focuses on expanding Value & Risk's presence in Luxembourg, building long-term client relationships and supporting the firm's strategic development in the market. She brings a practical, client-oriented perspective to discussions on fund distribution, cross-border business development and the evolving needs of asset managers and financial institutions.
Monica is fluent in French, English, Spanish and Portuguese, and also has knowledge of Italian and Dutch.
