Johannes Virkkunen heads the Technology Investments Division within the Equity Investments Department at the European Investment Fund, where he focuses on investments in venture funds ranging from pre-seed to growth stages across deep tech and other innovation-driven technology sectors. He joined EIF in 2007 as a legal adviser before moving into venture capital fund investments in 2012. He holds law degrees from the University of Helsinki and the University of Chicago, as well as an MBA from IE Business School.
