Bio
Pieter is a partner at Simmons & Simmons and a member of the firm's Asset Management and Investment Funds team in Luxembourg. He advises fund managers on the structuring, formation and marketing of alternative investment funds, in particular private equity funds, open- and closed-ended real estate funds and infrastructure funds.
Pieter represents established institutions as well as start-up managers and regularly advises institutional investors on the assessment and negotiation of fund investments. He has worked on several fund restructurings and has represented limited partner groups and advisory boards in restructuring negotiations under adversarial circumstances.
Before moving to Luxembourg in 2014, Pieter practiced for ten years in Amsterdam and five years in Tokyo.
