Maxime has joined J.P. Morgan SE – Luxembourg Branch on January 1st 2023, as Executive Director responsible of Depositary Bank Services for Alternative Funds, covering a broad range of assets such as Real Estate, Private Equity, Infrastructure, Private Debt, etc – making sure that the regulatory requirements are applied according to AIFMD standards.
Prior to this, Maxime had a similar position within Pictet & Cie (Europe) S.A. that he joined in early 2022 as Head of Private Equity & Real Estate Depositary Oversight.
Most of Maxime’s career has been spent at RBC Investor Services Bank S.A., for 14 years as Associate Director responsible for the Private Capital US Clients division within the Depositary team in Luxembourg. Maxime’s expertise and ability to deal with complex investment structures was key to embrace business needs from pragmatic and compliant angles. Maxime has been actively involved in the growth of the department, and has held several management positions, heading the Onboarding, Due Diligence, the Expertise & Escalation streams, forging a detailed understanding of AIFMD and local requirements.
Maxime has been for several years the Chairman of the “Lookthrough & Control” working group within the ABBL (Association des Banques et Banquiers Luxembourgeois) and is a member of the Depositary Banking Cluster. Finally, Maxime is also the co-chair of the Depositary Committee, and a member of the Consolidated Public Affair Group within the LPEA (Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association).
