Managing Partner

Bio

David Buyck is Managing Partner of the Buyck Family Advisory Office, a Luxembourg-based office that partners with a small number of families and entrepreneurs each year to structure, co-invest in and build new ventures. He is the seventeenth generation of a family whose financial history goes back to Hendrik Buyck, one of the co-founders of the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.) in 1602. David works closely with families that own regulated businesses. One of them is European Capital Partners, a CSSF-regulated wealth and asset manager with EUR 2.7 billion in assets under management, where he is responsible for corporate strategy. Through the office he has led a strategic bid for the Italian luxury house La Perla and advised on a €25 million debut Eurobond for EcoFriendSheep Insulation. He also co-designed Blackbird, Europe's first regulated digital asset hedge fund, and co-founded Metastable Ventures, an early-stage fund that invests from pre-seed to Series A. He has more than 15 years of experience in investment advisory, including UHNW advisory at UBS. He is a CSSF-authorised director and an appointed expert to the Luxembourg Supreme Court. He lectures in alternative finance at the University of Luxembourg and Solvay. He wrote Numbers Lead the Dance and is now writing his second book. In 2026 he helped host the inaugural LP Summit with the LPEA.
